JAG Healthcare Orrville is seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. Orrville is a dynamic building with a behavioral health focus, looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to complement an exceptional leadership team and drive quality care and service for the direct care team.

Key Responsibilities

(include but are not limited to):

• Direct, oversee, coordinate, and evaluate all nursing services provided to residents
• Lead and develop nursing staff through education, mentorship, coaching, and performance management
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and standards of care
• Oversee survey preparedness, complaint investigations, plans of correction, and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support high-quality resident care and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident outcomes and customer service
• Guide staffing processes and workforce development initiatives
• Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts
• Maintain and enforce resident rights, confidentiality, and privacy standards
• Monitor clinical indicators and implement strategies to improve outcomes and quality measures
• Support infection prevention and control initiatives throughout the facility

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio and in good standing
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a Medicare/Medicaid-certified healthcare setting required
• Previous Director of Nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, behavioral health, cognitive deficit care, or geri-psych services strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop clinical teams
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated success in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and team development
• Infection Preventionist training preferred or willingness to obtain certification
