Warehouse Lead – 2nd Shift
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse and material-handling activities within a manufacturing facility. This position provides hands-on leadership to the warehouse team while ensuring materials are safely and efficiently received, stored, moved, staged, and prepared for production and customer shipments. The Warehouse Lead will operate a sit-down forklift, coordinate material movement, help maintain accurate inventory, support shipping and receiving activities, and ensure warehouse operations are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Pay Rate: Starting at $21 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities and provide direction to warehouse associates.
- Serve as a hands-on working lead, assisting with material handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, transport, and stage materials throughout the facility.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials, finished products, intermediate products, and other materials between warehouse and production areas.
- Ensure materials are available to production according to established schedules and location plans.
- Prepare products and materials for production and customer shipments.
- Verify quantities, materials, labels, and documentation to ensure shipments and receipts are accurate.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with maintaining accurate warehouse inventory records.
- Complete and review warehouse paperwork and enter information into company systems, including delivery notes, invoices, customer orders, and other documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials and compare quantities and documentation against requirements.
- Help train and coach warehouse associates on proper material-handling procedures, safety practices, and company expectations.
- Monitor warehouse organization and ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and staged.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production environment.
- Ensure team members follow company safety, quality, environmental, and workplace policies.
- Work closely with production, shipping, receiving, and other departments to resolve material and workflow issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, material flow, organization, and productivity.
- Participate in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing activities.
- Report inventory discrepancies, safety concerns, equipment issues, and other operational problems to management.
- Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience with sit-down forklift operation is required .
- Previous lead, team lead, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately enter information into company systems.
- Ability to read and understand warehouse documentation, labels, shipping/receiving paperwork, and production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide direction and work effectively with a team.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
