RBT Associate Social Skills Facilitator

Overview Under general supervision, implements planned social skills interventions in a center-based setting and provides training on evidence‑based strategies to participants through modeling and feedback within a social skills group. Increases and maintains social targets by applying intermittent and natural schedules of reinforcement, recording data, writing session notes, and conducting weekly debriefings with the Social Skills Lead and Program Manager Facilitator. Responsibilities Provide specialized intervention and teaching strategies in a group setting based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach social‑skills targets to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Assist in preparing the learning environment to maximize effectiveness of intervention. Complete documentation, including data collection of targeted social goals, skill probing, preference assessments, session notes, incident reports, and service logs. Enter all sessions into an electronic time‑record system on a daily basis and maintain productivity as set forth in the annual budget. Assist in data analysis, progress reports, and other clinical planning notes under supervision of the Social Skills Facilitator or Lead. Participate in planning meetings and contribute to lesson, activity, and schedule planning. Debrief with the social‑skills team immediately following scheduled sessions. Complete assigned administrative activities, including preparing data tracking, inputting data, and creating materials for future social‑skills group activities. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or enrollment in an accredited college/university with preference for programs related to early childhood education, psychology, nursing, or a related field; at least 2 years exposure to children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other developmental disabilities. Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required. Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other developmental disabilities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Demonstrated competency in intervention approaches based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, including discrete trial and natural‑environment teaching procedures, differential reinforcement, continuous and discontinuous measurement, and crisis/emergency procedures. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams). Ability to learn and use iPad and/or other assigned devices. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to maintain positive customer interaction and professionalism; ability to work cooperatively with diverse individuals and groups. Ability to interact effectively with children and families, maintaining a positive affect. Understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations; ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with sensitive documentation. Must pass a post‑offer physical examination, TB test, and provide required vaccinations or immunity proof. A signed declination may be acceptable for certain vaccinations. Must obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ability to travel locally, maintain a compliant driving record, auto insurance, and registration. Physical requirements: occasional lifting up to 30lb, standing and walking up to 3hours per day, sitting up to 8hours per day, repetitive keyboard and telephone use.
