Imaging Assistant

Base Pay $15.00 - $17.00 / Hour Job Category Imaging Assistant, MRI Employee Type Part Time Description As an Imaging Assistant, you will provide safe, quality patient care, while assisting technologists with the transport and care of patients. This position is part–time (20– 25 hours per week) with days and hours varying at the Blaine, Bloomington, and Lake Elmo sites. Complete training and mentorship from our Radiology Supervisor and MRI Team will be provided. MajorAreasofResponsibility: Patient Interaction & Support:Greeting patients, explaining the procedure, verify identification, answering questions, and ensuring patients feel comfortable before entering the MR environment. MRI Safety Screening:Conducting thorough safety questionnaires, identifying potential contraindications (implants, devices, metallic objects), and report findings to the supervising MR technologist. Preparation & Positioning Assistance:Helping patients onto the table, providing immobilization aids, and assistingwithanatomicallandmarkingunderdirecttechnologistsupervision. Contrast ProcedureSupport:Preparing necessary materials for contrast administration, ensuring IV supplies are ready, and following aseptic protocols (note: I.A. does not injectcontrast). Workflow Efficiency:Managing patient flowacrossthe MRI zones to minimizewaittimesanddowntimebetweenscans. Environmental Readiness:Maintaining a safe,clean,andorganizedMR suite,includingcheckingferromagnetic safety complianceonhospitalequipment. Image&DataManagement: ShareImagingfor patients/providers, documentdetailsintheElectronicMedicalRecord(EMR) system. The ideal candidatewillbe18yearsofage withaHigh School diplomaorGEDandprevious patient care experienceormedical terminology experience.
