Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN

Registered Nurse Obstetrics

Schedule: 3 x 12 hour day shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Normal

Requirements:

• License: Current RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE
• Experience: Minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Skills: Effective communication skills, computer skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Independently provide holistic, individualized care for patients in the OB unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills competently.
• Manage supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Promote teamwork with physicians, personnel of the unit, and other hospital departments.
• Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice, hospital policies regarding confidentiality, and other guidelines.

Compliance / Notes:

• Successfully complete general nursing and unit orientation.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
