Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Leads and supervises nursing staff while coordinating interdisciplinary care to support patient recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status by collecting relevant clinical data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
• Coordinate care activities with healthcare team members to ensure seamless delivery.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the practicing state.
• Demonstrate a minimum of two years recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Possess current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Have EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Preferably hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
