Job Description Utility Relocation Manager The position of Utility Relocation Manager will provide coordination of utility relocation activities on the project and provide technical and functional support to utility relocation activities. Responsibilities Preparation of drawings (MicroStation) and exhibits. Coordination with the Utility Owners and their designers. Conduct meetings with the Utility Owners and their designers. Program agendas with the Utility Owners and their designers. Produce minutes with the Utility Owners and their designers. Handle communications with the Utility Owners and their designers (letters, emails, distribution of drawings, etc.). Review and comment the different utility design plans. Assist and/or direct utilities meetings. Perform quantity take‑offs. Prepare cost budgets. Perform cost estimates. Perform cost control. Prepare labor schedules. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Process change orders. Provide technical expertise related to utilities, ROW and easements. Recommend solutions to design changes throughout construction process. Manage subcontractor scope of work respective to various contracts. Help in the management of The Utility Design and Coordinator Company scope of work respective to various contracts and various utility conflicts. Minimum Requirements Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent. Minimum of four (4) years of experience of progressive responsibility with relevant design activities on similar PPP and Design-Build projects. Preferred if the applicants have prior experience performing utility design and adjustments with utility owners. Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, Word, scheduling program, MicroStation. Scheduling experience preferred. Experience in preparing quantity take‑offs. Experience in preparing cost budgets. Applicants shall have prior experience within TxDOT highway project corridors.
