Maintenance Technician

HOT TOPIC DISTRIBUTION CENTER IS HIRING DIRECTLY FOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS. This position performs general and preventive maintenance on MHE (Material-Handling Equipment), such as all DC conveyor systems, Put-To-Light, related support systems, and non-MHE in the distribution center, by completing repairs or replacing defective components. This role also maintains parts inventory for system components and up-to-date equipment technical materials, along with other duties as assigned to meet business needs. SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Saturday 4:45am-3:15pm. Sunday-Wednesday 4:45am-3:15pm. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum 1 year of experience preferred working with MHE systems in a preventive maintenance capacity. Experience in mechanical and pneumatic is preferred. Knowledge of repairing and adjusting conveyor systems (such as lace conveyor belts and track conveyor belts, etc.). Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals 24V-460V. Have experience working with photo-eye sensors. Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of mechanical tools and equipment. Strong communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and be a solid verbal and written communicator. Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure. Approach obstacles proactively and look for ways to resolve problems and issues. Frequently required to stand, bend, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. May lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to some chemicals when performing the job.
