EPA Certified Assistant Maintenance Technician
Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Penn Apartment Staffing is currently seeking a EPA Certified Assistant Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in the Corpus Christi, TX area . This position starts as a temporary assignment through our staffing firm , with the opportunity to be hired permanently by our client .

The ideal candidate will have experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC systems, and general property repairs , and must be dependable, motivated, and able to start immediately .

Job Summary

The Assistant Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance team in maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of the apartment community. This role is responsible for completing service requests, assisting with preventative maintenance, and ensuring vacant apartments are ready for new residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and repairs (EPA certification required)
• Install, repair, and replace appliances, fixtures, and equipment
• Support make-ready preparations for vacant apartments
• Maintain the exterior appearance and cleanliness of the property
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs
• Help complete property maintenance projects as assigned
• Assist with pool maintenance duties when needed
• Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls when scheduled for on-call rotation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance workspace

Requirements

✔ EPA Certification (required)
✔ Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance experience
✔ Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
✔ Ability to pass a criminal background check
✔ Must provide two forms of government-issued ID
✔ Strong communication skills ( English proficiency required )
✔ Stable work history
✔ Strong work ethic and reliability – must be dependable
