Director, Security Protective Services

AbbVie seeks a Director of Security Protective Services to oversee executive protection, event security, threat management, and investigations for senior leadership and employees. This role directs program development, resource allocation, and governance while collaborating with Global Security functions and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct implementation and oversight of the executive protection program
• Manage security of corporate aircraft and related aviation assets
• Oversee investigations, threat management, and response to security incidents
• Identify, engage, and evaluate third-party security service providers
• Monitor performance metrics, risk data, and compliance with corporate policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or related security certifications preferred
• Minimum 15 years in law enforcement, military, or corporate security
• Prior manager-level or higher supervisory experience with team leadership
• Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational capabilities
• Solid business acumen and ability to influence senior leaders
