Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7)

Department/Organization: 209401 - CELL

Normal Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary:  The Continuing Education Program Coordinator supports continuing education program design, management, and implementation. Reports on files of all newly admitted students.

Additional Department Summary:  Identifies and coordinates student and/or administrative support services for various programs offered by Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (CELL). Serves as a liaison between OTIDE and partners such as Boards of Directors, Constituent groups, Off-site Facilities, and the State of Alabama Departments in the coordination of membership, courses, committee support, and assessment services. Serves as a member of the division's Program Management Team to coordinate administrative and management services for existing and newly developed programs offered through CELL. Serves as University Liaison with program constituent groups and conducts recruitment speeches with appropriate audiences. Coordinates and implements all services required for the successful administration of programs.

Required Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of education program development experience; OR master's degree and some education program development experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Basic desktop computing skills (e.g. windows, Excel, etc.). Ability to multi-task. Strong database management skills and the ability to develop quantitative and qualitative data measurement instruments. General financial accounting skills. Ability to review and analyze basic financial reports. Knowledge of institutional services such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing. Ability to analyze information and make critical decisions. Ability to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external constituents. Knowledge of a wide spectrum of institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Ability to work with various groups of people.

Preferred Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in communications, education, business, liberal arts, or related subject. Knowledge of a wide spectrum of University of Alabama and OTIDE institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Strong data base management and analytical skills. General financial accounting knowledge. General supervisory experience.
