Job Details Provide competent legal advice to a book of family law clients in hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediation. Meet with clients to gather information, discuss case details, and provide guidance. Draft legal documents and pleadings, conduct legal research, and manage the discovery process. Maintain a solid understanding of Local Rules and their application to family law cases. Work independently on cases while effectively managing and expanding a client base. Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in emotionally charged situations. Show empathy to clients while upholding a high level of professionalism. Exhibit creativity and the ability to think outside the box to develop effective legal strategies. Organize case materials and information efficiently. Demonstrate energy, self‑motivation, and problem‑solving skills. Actively participate in community engagement as a representative of the firm. Requirements Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar (Licensed in North Carolina is a plus). 4+ years of experience working in a family law firm. Ability to comprehend and apply Local Rules to family law cases. Strong ability to work independently on cases while maintaining and expanding a client base. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills in high‑stress and emotional situations. Maintains professionalism while demonstrating empathy to all clients. Creative and capable of thinking outside the box. Organized, energetic, and self‑motivated. Problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify effective solutions. Active members of their community.
