A day in the life

You start the morning by reviewing fresh demand signals and current inventory, then translate them into a right-sized production schedule inside the ERP. A quick huddle with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics confirms materials are on hand and resources are lined up. Midday, you spot a supplier delay—no problem: you re-sequence work orders, coordinate with quality control to safeguard specifications, and keep stakeholders informed. By afternoon, you're optimizing run sequences to reduce downtime, updating the plan to reflect real-time progress, and partnering with supply chain to balance inventory—avoiding both overstock and stockouts. You wrap up by logging improvements and ensuring your workspace stays clean and orderly for safety and efficiency.

• Build and maintain detailed production schedules aligned to customer orders, inventory positions, and capacity.
• Synchronize with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics so materials and resources are ready when needed.
• Continuously monitor and adjust plans for shifts in demand or unexpected delays.
• Analyze capacity and resource utilization to boost throughput and cut downtime.
• Partner with quality control to confirm standards are met and products meet specification.
• Track actuals versus plan, updating schedules to reflect progress, changes, or delays.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams and external suppliers to align production and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with supply chain management to keep inventory in the sweet spot—preventing overstock and stockouts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling or production issues as they arise.
• Drive continuous improvement to streamline processes and reduce cost.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

• Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management.
• Outstanding organization and time management; able to juggle multiple deadlines.
• Clear communicator and strong collaborator across functions and with suppliers.
• Knowledge of inventory management, production scheduling, and demand forecasting.
• Proficiency with production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Analytical, data-driven problem solver.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in plans and data.
• Comfort working independently and within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

• Work Environment: Office-based with regular interaction on the production floor and in warehouse areas.
• Physical Demands: Occasional walking, standing, and warehouse site visits.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.
• Travel: Occasional trips for supplier visits, conferences, and inter-facility coordination.
