The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Neurology patients within Bettendorf. This position supports our other clinics located within the building which includes but not limited to: Family Medicine, Dermatology, Pediatrics and Endocrinology. This position requires travel within a two-hour radius approximately once per month and includes the use of a fleet vehicle, along with paid drive time. Our team specializes in the care of everyone in the family, in every generation, from birth, for life. Our LPN's develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. This position also includes FREE on-site parking as well! Duties to include: Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients. In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse. Qualifications

Minimum Eligibility Requirements Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification Basic Cardiac Life Support provider Special Qualification/License: Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Highly Desirable Qualifications The ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and patient populations is highly desired. Desirable Qualifications Previous Epic experience Previous Neurology clinic experience One year of experience as a LPN Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.
