Job OverviewFairview is seeking a casual Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our Women’s Health team to provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care in a collaborative, hospital-based environment alongside an experienced and supportive care team. ResponsibilitiesProvides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care.Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care.Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needsConsults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases. Refers within the Fairview network.Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope.Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies.Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service.Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques.Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed.Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department.May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit.Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case managementUtilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflowsDemonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patientsRequired QualificationsGraduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training programBoard Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMSLicensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice LicensureAbility to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of MinnesotaMeet threshold criteria/qualification for Credentialing and PrivilegesBenefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more! Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions withthe same min/max are flat rate jobs based on 40 hours/week.
