Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert critical care nursing support within ICU settings, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Float between ICU, Intermediate units, and Medical-Surgical units as needed, adapting to various clinical environments and patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive critical care treatments to critically ill patients in the ICU and other units.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, clinical data, and medical equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to patient emergencies, providing life-saving interventions.
• Document patient histories, care activities, and treatment progress accurately in EPIC system.
• Adapt to floating assignments across units, maintaining flexibility and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of recent ICU and/or Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Possess current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems.
• Be vaccinated against flu and COVID-19 or have accepted medical/religious exemptions.
• Be willing to work 7p-7a shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Have excellent clinical assessment and patient management skills.
