We are seeking a **Staff Surface Process Development Engineer** to join our dynamic team of industry leading experts to develop, optimize, and implement robust **Surface** processes for Nitinol medical devices.Responsibilities:* Work as part of Confluent’s multifunctional Process Development Team responsible for development, optimization, and validation of medical device production processes.* Develop robust surface processes such as microblasting, chemical etching, chemical polishing, and electropolishing.* Work in collaboration with operators, technicians, and other engineers to deliver devices that meet customer requirements.* Create manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, visual standards, and technical memorandums.* Coordinate with the Production team for training and manufacturing support.* Utilize six sigma and lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement of validated manufacturing processes.Essential Qualities:* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.* Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in a highly technical environment.* Capable of performing under the pressure of multiple competing deadlines while maintaining a cooperative and constructive working relationship with colleagues.Education and Experience:* Bachelor’s Degree in Materials, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience.* Proficient in MS Word and Excel.* Experience with Minitab or JMP desirable.**Confluent Medical Technologies** offers very competitive compensation and benefits and is proud to have a distinguished reputation throughout the medical device industry around the world!
