Production Operations Coordinator II

Work Location Stafford, TX (on-site) Scope and Job Summary Responsible for leading a production team to meet daily goals, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. Acts as a liaison between team members and management, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Production Coordinator II oversees the activities of assemblers, coordinates schedules, and ensures optimal resource allocation. Provides guidance, resolves issues, and drives process improvements to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead daily team meetings to communicate goals, priorities, and safety reminders. Coordinate work schedules and allocate resources to meet production targets. Monitor team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and training as needed. Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, quality checks, and team attendance. Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to resolve production issues promptly. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Support root cause analysis for quality or process deviations and implement corrective actions. Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and safety. Work extended hours as business needs dictate to meet daily departmental goals. Develop and implement strategic plans for resource optimization and workflow improvements. Lead cross‑functional projects to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs. Act as primary liaison between production team and senior management for reporting and planning. Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements. Meet all production requirements and performance standards as defined by the area Supervisor. Deliver operational results that directly influence production outcomes, potentially carrying significant cost or expenditure implications. Guide, delegate to, and review the work of other team members within the job area. Handle complex assignments requiring independent judgment, strong problem‑solving skills, and a high level of initiative. Recommend new procedures and improvements to existing processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Communicate with internal and external partners on matters requiring clear explanation, interpretation, and context. Explain practices, procedures, and policies to stakeholders inside and outside the department to ensure shared understanding. Possess expert‑level knowledge within a specific operational discipline, gained through extensive experience and/or formal education. Travel No regular travel required; occasional training travel may occur. Qualifications Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively. Proficiency in scheduling and resource planning tools. Work Environment Standing for prolonged periods. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to packaging materials and machinery. May require wearing PPE such as gloves, mask and hairnet in some production areas. Good communication and reliability. Experience Typically requires 7+ years of assembly experience with proven leadership in complex operations. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced training or certifications preferred.
