As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Position in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, assist visitors and staff, and deliver service with agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicle information, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site policies while maintaining professional interactions with employees and guests.
• Support daily operations by communicating clearly with team members, following post instructions, and completing required reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
