The role AHA's Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory testing and reporting laboratory findings to physicians. The skills requirements for a Medical Technician include Occupational Specific, Technical Skills, Personal and Professional. AHA's MLT must meet the personnel responsibilities per CLIA Sec. 493.1495: Standard Testing personnel responsibilities. What your day looks like Produce and report appropriate laboratory results in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and automated chemistry Perform, interpret, and record quality control data in all departments Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation as prescribed in procedures.
