Assessment Lead, Behavioral Health

As an Assessment Lead joining our team, you will be dedicated to making communities healthier. How you'll contribute Facilitate response to requests for services, including the initial response, assessment, referral process, designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow‑up activities. Conduct initial evaluation, initiate assessment, document patient symptomology, functioning, needs, and provide information to the physician. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers promptly and courteously. Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention and EMTALA paperwork and processes. Maintain all pre‑admission and admission paperwork with accuracy. Complete all per‑certification with insurance companies. Ensure appropriate staffing for each shift. Educate and coach staff and act as a point person for clinical decisions. Report all issues and incidents to the director as appropriate. Ensure staff complete all needed documentation, call logging, insurance calls, and additional tasks prior to shift end. Perform all essential functions of an Assessment Specialist. What we're looking for Applicants should have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited school required, or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school required per state regulations. Additional requirements include: Independent Counseling or Social Work license required, or Registered Nurse license per state regulations. At least two years of assessment experience in an inpatient behavioral health care setting. Experience working with patient populations served at the facility is preferred. CPR and De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
