Medical Nutrition Therapy PositionProvide medical nutrition therapy to patients. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.Detailed responsibilities:COMPLIANCE - Adhere and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards JCAHO and other regulatory agency requirementsIMPROVE - Participate in nutrition care performance improvement activitiesREVIEW - Complete limited assessments according to established criteria and refer patients to Clinical Dietitians as neededPATIENT CARE - Develop care plan monitor and evaluate patient careMENU - Oversee menu preparation distribution and collectionEDUCATION - Provide information to patients regarding diet food/drug interactions and menuINTERPERSONAL RELATIONS - Establish and maintain effective interpersonal business relationships with patients visitors physicians and all Hospitals personnelRELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as requiredQualifications:Education:Essential:Bachelor's DegreeEducation specialization:Essential: or Higher in Related Discipline or w/in 36 MonthsExperience:Essential: No minimum experience requiredNonessential: No preferred experienceCredentials:Essential: Nutrition and Dietetic Tech Registered or within 1 yearNonessential:Physical Conditions: Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
