Job Summary

The Project Expeditor shall ensure that project timelines stay on schedule by coordinating, tracking, and facilitating the flow of materials, equipment, documents, and deliverables across all phases of a project. Working closely with procurement, vendors, engineers, and project management teams, the Project Expeditor identifies potential supply chain bottlenecks or delays before they affect project milestones and actively works to mitigate them. This individual will report operationally to the Project Manager and functionally to the Director of Project Implementation.

Job Description

• Monitor purchase orders (POs) and track material, equipment, and document deliveries from suppliers to project sites or facilities
• Maintain regular communication with vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors to verify production schedules, shipment dates, and logistics status
• Proactively identify potential delays, material shortages, or shipping disruptions and coordinate corrective actions or alternative sourcing options
• Ensure timely submittal, review, and approval of critical project documentation (e.g., technical submittals, vendor drawings, inspection reports, mill certificates, and shipping documents)
• Work closely with procurement, quality assurance, engineering, logistics, and site construction teams to align material arrivals with project schedules
• Maintain accurate expediting reports and tracking logs in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Project Management software and provide status updates during regular project meetings
  

Skills Required

• 2–5+ years of experience in project expediting, procurement, supply chain, or project coordination, preferably within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, or energy sectors
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and project management platforms (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore)
• Ability to anticipate delays and implement proactive solutions before they impact critical path activities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for managing relationships with global suppliers and internal project teams
• High level of organization to track numerous orders, delivery dates, and technical document submittals simultaneously
• Persuasive interpersonal skills to encourage vendors and stakeholders to meet tight schedules without compromising quality or safety

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• Work condition: Office Environment with occasional business trips

Pay Rate/Salary

• $40.00-$44.48hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
