Category Manager - Hybrid (On site in Denver, CO or Brentwood, TN)The Procurement Category Manager oversees the entire DaVita Way of Procurement process for large global categories (typically >$25M spend, and up to $250M), from strategy development to execution. Regular negotiations with VP, Director level at SuppliersInterdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborating across business units and regional teams fosters positive organizational outcomes, ensuring alignment and synergy in procurement efforts.Supplier Relationship Management: Leading supplier performance management processes enhance supplier relationships, fostering accountability and driving continuous improvement.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop extensive market knowledge and a deep understanding of the assigned spend areasStrong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to extract key themes, determine root causes, develop creative solutions, and craft concise messagesCollaborate with internal business partners, both clinical and technical, to understand demand and supplier trends. Builds effective relationships, influences peers and key stakeholders, and able to build consensus.Manage supplier relationships including developing supplier performance (KPIs), capability development, cost and quality improvements for key suppliers and product categoriesIdentify and document supplier risk items to develop mitigation strategies and plansMonitor compliance with DaVita's product formularies and ensure contract terms are being metAbility to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneouslyOther Duties as AssignedEducation and RequirementsBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 5-7 years of relevant SC/Procurement experience, or an MBA with background in contract analysis and negotiation. Experience in Finance, Operations and similar functions is applicableExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
