Doyle Security Services is seeking professional and reliable Unarmed Security Officers for a school, in Queens, NY . Candidates must currently possess, or be willing to obtain, S-95 (Certificate of Fitness for Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems) and F-07 (Certificate of Fitness for Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor) certifications. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors by monitoring school premises, access control, conducting foot patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing site policies and procedures. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, strong customer service abilities, and the ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations. Prior security experience in a school, educational, or public-facing environment is preferred.

Locations & Shifts:

St. Albans: Monday- Friday 0630-1430 Payrate: $19.50

St. Albans: Monday- Friday 0930-1730 Payrate: $19.50

JOB DUTIES :

• Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests inside the school.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with parents, students, staff and community members.
• Prior School experience preferred.
• Ensure safety and efficient reporting:
• Monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Assist with fire drills, crises and other emergency building evacuations and situations.
• Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
• Ensure a smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways, assisting students with on-time arrival to class and to assigned locations.
• Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.
• Update security records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure all doors and gates are locked and that all alarms are engaged at designated times.
• Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and deescalating disruptive situations that may arise on campus.
• Assist in daily operational duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• S-95 & F-07 Required
• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
