Part-Time Dentist – General Dentistry

Madison, Wisconsin | 0.6 FTE (24 Hours/Week)

We are seeking a Part-Time Dentist to provide routine general dentistry services in a well-supported clinical setting serving adult and juvenile patients. This opportunity offers a flexible weekday schedule and focuses on restorative and preventative dental care in a collaborative environment.

The Dentist will perform intake evaluations, assess x-rays, develop treatment plans, and provide general dental procedures including restorations, fillings, extractions, and other routine dental services. Limited denture prosthetics and occasional root canals may also be performed.

This role works alongside a part-time dental hygienist and dental assistant in recently renovated dental suites equipped to support high-quality patient care.

Schedule:

• Part-time, approximately 24 hours/week (0.6 FTE)
• Flexible weekday schedule (examples: 7:00am–3:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm)
• No Fridays preferred
• 3–5 month contract assignment with potential for future full-time opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Conduct dental intake evaluations and review diagnostic x-rays
• Diagnose and treat routine dental conditions
• Perform restorations, fillings, extractions, and general dental procedures
• Provide preventative and ongoing dental care for adult and juvenile patients
• Develop treatment plans and document patient care appropriately
• Collaborate with dental hygiene and support staff to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with infection control and clinical standards

Qualifications:

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program
• Active Wisconsin dental license or ability to obtain licensure
• Experience in general dentistry required
• Comfortable performing restorative procedures and extractions independently
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
• Experience in public health, correctional, behavioral health, or community dentistry settings preferred but not required
