IP Attorney (Telecommunications & Computer Networking) Responsibilities: Utilize theoretical understanding and industry experience in the field of telecommunications and computer networking to analyze client software written in Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, PHP and/or C/C++ and computer hardware products to develop infringement arguments. Review technical publications relating to telecommunications systems and computer networking, and interview client engineers to develop infringement and validity arguments. Utilizing knowledge of FCC regulations in the telecommunications industry, advise clients and draft comments on regulatory issues, including infrastructure, billing, and accessibility. Research case law and draft memoranda related to FCC telecommunications infrastructure regulations, consumer privacy, and accessibility. Position may include additional duties that use the required skills. Requirements: Juris Doctor and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. Experience working as a Software Engineer utilizing Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, PHP and C/C++ to develop software in the areas of telecommunications and computer networks. Experience reviewing telecom service level agreements to determine whether they comply with FCC regulations. Experience writing software code for telecommunications systems compliant with various FCC regulations, including billing and tax. Experience researching case law and drafting memoranda related to FCC telecommunications infrastructure regulations, consumer privacy, and accessibility.
