What We’re Looking For:
- Current teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students (preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to creating individualized educational strategies
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers
- Adaptable and patient, able to manage diverse classroom needs
- Enthusiasm for fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in alignment with IEP goals
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs for each student
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and assistive technologies to facilitate learning
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff
- Communicate consistently with families regarding student progress and support needs
- Maintain a safe, positive environment that nurtures student growth both academically and socially
