Patient Flow Coordinator
Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma
Admissions Nurse
Shift: 1000-1830 or 1100-1730 (8 hours with 30 minute lunch)
The Admissions Nurse, under the supervision of the Lead House Supervisor and CNO, is responsible for:
- All areas of the Hospitals Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles are adhered to
- Bed Control/Room Assignments
- Receives physicians order for direct and scheduled admissions
- Directs the throughput of patients accessing care services
- Works with the House Supervisor to set priorities for patient placement and transfer
- Maintains a cooperative relationship with the hospital and department staff and leadership
- Serves as a medical resource person
Education: Graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse program with current Oklahoma license
Minimum Qualifications - Minimum one-year job related experience is recommended.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in health care computer and typing desired. Must demonstrate competency in receiving and transcribing physician's orders, good interpersonal, and communication skills required.
