Security System TechnicianSecurity System Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art integrated security systems, including CCTV or IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. Our Security System Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings and inhabitants safe.As a Security System Technician, you will:Assist with the commissioning of new security systems on customer sites documenting commissioning detailsAssist with testing and inspecting of existing security systemsPlan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team LeaderComplete commissioning within planned timelinesSubmit accurate time and expense logsWork overtime when neededYou will make an impact with these qualifications:Electro-mechanical experience (either from a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skillMust be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system managementMust be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassistedExperience with Microsoft OfficeMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle programLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred6+ months experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systemsAbility to read/understand design and construction documentsReady to create your own journey?
