Registered Nurse, Dermatology, 36 Hours (Days)

Overview Position: Registered Nurse Department: Dermatology Schedule: 36 Hours (Days) The registered nurse adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. The role is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care, including nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum. The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards of practice. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and families across the health care continuum. Deliver direct patient care and professional performance in compliance with department models of care and agency standards. Collaborate with the health care team to ensure quality and fiscal patient care outcomes. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other health care professionals; document accurately in the medical record. Qualifications Education : Graduate of a nursing degree program; BSN preferred. Licenses, Certifications, Registrations : Licensed to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Knowledge and Skills : Basic computer proficiency to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and health care team. Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work. Multilingual abilities preferred where applicable to patient populations served. Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and contribute to quality improvement projects. Ability to delegate appropriate patient care activities and manage stress related to patient care and organizational changes. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to populations served. Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities in the given practice setting. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $38.05 - $75.33 per hour. This range is an estimate based on minimum qualifications.
