Staff Accountant

We are looking for a wonderful accountant for a new job in Morgan Hill, CA. If you have a strong fixed assets accounting background, a can-do personality, and a Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month-end and year-end close process Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns and ensure ongoing compliance with tax regulations Research and resolve sales and use tax issues and support audits as needed Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Maintain accounting records and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies Partner with operations and finance teams to improve processes and reporting accuracy Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with sales and use tax compliance and reporting Hands-on experience with fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and asset management Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
