We are searching for aContracts & Procurement Specialistto join our Procurement & Supply Chain team.Position DescriptionThe Contracts & Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting commercial contracting and procurement execution across Oklo’s engineering, manufacturing, construction, operations, and corporate functions.This role performs the full lifecycle of procurement and contracting activities, including supplier engagement, sourcing support, commercial negotiations, contract drafting and administration, purchase order management, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Legal, Finance, Quality, Construction, and Program Management teams.The Contracts & Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring Oklo’s teams can efficiently engage suppliers, execute contracts, procure goods and services, and maintain compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements as the company scales toward fleet deployment.This position reports to the Senior Procurement Manager and may be based in Santa Clara, CA or remotely within the United States.Specific responsibilities may include:Draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Task Orders, Purchase Orders, consulting agreements, construction agreements, and engineering services contractsSupport commercial negotiations related to pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, liability provisions, insurance requirements, and risk allocationCoordinate contract review and approval processes with Legal, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Program Management, and executive stakeholdersMaintain contract records, amendments, renewals, deliverables, and closeout documentationSupport development and continuous improvement of contracting processes, templates, and workflowsEnsure procurement and contracting activities comply with internal procedures, quality requirements, export control regulations, and contractual obligationsTrack supplier documentation, certifications, quality records, and contractual requirementsServe as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding procurement and contracting activitiesCoordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to support project executionMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Legal Studies, or a related field5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, commercial management, supply chain operations, or related disciplinesExperience drafting, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements and purchase ordersExperience supporting sourcing and procurement activities across multiple categories of spendStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality executionBonus Qualifications:Experience supporting engineering services, manufacturing, construction, EPC, or industrial projectsExperience in nuclear, energy, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industriesFamiliarity with quality assurance requirements, safety-related procurement, or NQA-1 environmentsExperience with procurement, contract lifecycle management, or ERP systems such as Coupa, Ironclad, SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar platformsExperience supporting supplier management and supplier performance initiativesKnowledge of commercial risk assessment and contract negotiation strategiesExperience supporting rapidly growing organizations or large-scale project executionCompetenciesWe are looking for a Contracts & Procurement Specialist that is:Passionate about clean energy An optimist at heartPassionate about making advanced fission a realityWilling and able to learn quicklyComfortable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environmentAble to communicate technical content and results verballyHighly organized and detail-orientedCommercially minded and comfortable negotiating with suppliersAble to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and qualityCollaborative and effective working across technical and business teamsFocused on execution and delivering resultsWho you are:A startup person: You aren't driven by titles or hierarchy, and prefer efficiency to excess process. For the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.About Oklo compensation:Salary: $100,000-140,000Oklo offers flexible time off, equity, bonuses, competitive pay, 401(k), health insurance (with employer contribution), HSA, FSA, flexible work hours, wellness credits, and other benefits.This position may involve access to information subject to U.S. export control laws.
