Job Title: Technical Writer I Job Location - Houston, TX Duration - 06 months Description Work with R&D Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and other stakeholders to create and publish the materials needed for the release of new and/or upgraded *** medical devices. Develop engineering-level knowledge of *** medical devices down to their electrical and mechanical subsystems. Develop in-depth knowledge of technical publication customer needs and attend to them. Create and publish detailed technical materials in well-written, precise, and clear English for global distribution and meet *** quality requirements. Work with other technical writers, when required, to create technical documentation. Help with the creation of our monthly technical newsletter and other documents per business needs. Ensure project deadlines are met. Minimum Qualifications 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in technical publications for electronic equipment. Experience in the creation of documents for print and digital media. Strong working knowledge of different document creation tools such as Adobe, Flare, and/or Oxygen. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications 6 years of relevant experience. Experience in the medical device industry. Experience with HTML and CSS. Educational Requirements Minimum: BA in English Preferred: BA in English with a concentration in composition and rhetoric, or digital humanities. Preferred: BA in English and certification or degree in Technical Writing. eTeam
