As part of Collins Mission Systems, we specialize in developing advanced communications systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber and software solutions, as well as providing integration of Mission Systems. As part of the OSS Department, the Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V) Team supports a variety of communications systems and apertures including Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) antennas for multi-band multi-constellation satellite communications (SATCOM) and Line-of-Sight (LOS) systems for communications and sensing applications.What You Will DoParticipate in development of test & integration plans and procedures and generation of test flow diagramsParticipate in onsite integration, verification, and validation tasks and activitiesSupport setup of onsite test environments, laboratory facilities, and equipmentSupport system trade studies, requirements analysis, architecture, and allocation to subsystemsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teamsManage problems and issues requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigationSupport the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to ValidationWork autonomously with limited oversight from managerCoach and review work to lower-level professionalsInfluence others regarding policies, practices, and proceduresManage small projects or processesManage preparation and execution of program design reviewsReview and document moderate changes in systems or processes to solve difficult and often complex problemsCommunicate with team members within and outside of department or organizationCommunicate with customers, vendors, or subcontractorsUse advanced knowledge from an advanced university degree combined with professional experienceQualifications You Must HaveExperience in developing and writing test and integration plans and documentsParticipation in medium-scale test and integration activitiesExperience in supporting a team in requirements development and system architectureKnowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DNG)Knowledge of modeling/simulation tools (e.g., Matlab)Understanding of Systems Engineering support for Software, Hardware, and Firmware development and collaborationTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experienceAbility to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance is required to work in our organizationActive and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start dateU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​Qualifications We PreferFamiliarity with production and manufacturingFamiliarity with qualification processes and certification proceduresKnowledge of or application of Earned Value Management SystemFamiliarity of Model-Based Systems Engineering (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody)Proficiency in tooling to include Microsoft products or tasking boards (e.g., Jira)Agile working environment experienceProposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)Experience in Communication Radio and Systems including SATCOM, LOS/BLOS antennas, and waveformsExperience with Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) systemsPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
