Job Details Location: Yankton, SD Pay: $33.48 per hour, depending on qualifications (Pay Grade: K) Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. About the Human Services Center The South Dakota Human Services Center is the state's only public psychiatric hospital located in Yankton. The Center serves adults in Psychiatric Rehabilitation or Adult Acute programs, providing individualized, evidence‑based mental health care to enhance the quality of life of patients. Position Overview The role involves developing treatment plans, overseeing the delivery of evidence‑based interventions, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy for adult patients. Center Mission Statements Provide appropriate, individualized treatment services that meet patients’ changing needs. Enable individuals to achieve their highest potential level of functioning. Integrate program services with public and private agencies to facilitate successful transitions between in‑patient and out‑patient settings. Licenses and Certifications Preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in social work and be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a certified social worker. Ideal Candidate Successful applicants will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Use proper interviewing techniques. Write concise, accurate reports and correspondence. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Develop and implement effective therapy approaches and teaching curricula. Oversee treatment planning and delivery. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy. Additional Information Position is exempt from the Civil Service Act. Eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08. Applicants will undergo background investigation, abuse and neglect screening, and drug screening.
