About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Sciences and Technology. The successful candidate will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer, providing strategic, operational, and visionary leadership to advance the college's mission and priorities. This role is pivotal in fostering a rigorous academic environment, supporting faculty, and ensuring student success, particularly in the retention and timely completion of STEM degree programs. The Dean will be responsible for academic planning, program quality, resource stewardship, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. A key aspect of the position is to maintain high academic standards, support students throughout their studies, and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned doctorate in a STEM field and a minimum of 7 years' related job experience, including at least 5 years in a formal academic leadership role at an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished record of leadership, sound judgment, collaboration, and innovation, with a strong commitment to supporting faculty and advancing student success. The role requires a leader who can effectively liaise between various stakeholders, provide a strategic vision for the college, and contribute to the development of a diverse and skilled STEM workforce. The Dean will be expected to have a deep understanding of the academic and professional landscape in STEM, and to be dedicated to the principles of access, academic quality, and socioeconomic mobility in education.
