Obstetrics/Med Surg Nurse
The Obstetrics/Med Surg Nurse role encompasses responsibilities in labor and delivery, postpartum care, and recovery. This position requires nurses to be adaptable, allowing them to float to the medical-surgical floor when there are no obstetric patients available for care.
Shifts are scheduled during the day from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a commitment to work every third weekend.
Holiday coverage is not required for this position.
No prior experience is required for applicants, as less than one year of experience is acceptable.
Certifications and requirements include:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Attendant (ATT)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- STABLE
- Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
