Carpenter Needed - Start Right AwayThis role focuses on performing high-quality finish carpentry on commercial projects throughout southeast Wisconsin. You will complete trim work, hang doors, and install cabinets on various commercial and multi-family, stick-built job sites within approximately 20 minutes of the Milwaukee area. You will use your carpentry experience to deliver precise, professional finishes while working safely and efficiently on active construction sites.ResponsibilitiesPerform finish carpentry on commercial projects in southeast Wisconsin, including trim work, door hanging, and cabinet installation.Read and follow project plans, drawings, and specifications to complete finish carpentry tasks accurately and to required standards.Complete work on commercial and retail job sites within approximately 20 minutes of the Milwaukee area, arriving on time and prepared for each shift.Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to cut, fit, and install trim, doors, and cabinets.Collaborate with teammates to coordinate tasks, maintain workflow, and ensure that project milestones are met.Apply rough or finish carpentry skills on commercial or multi-family, stick-built projects as needed to support project completion.Inspect completed work for quality, ensuring clean, precise finishes and adherence to project requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the designated fenced-off sections of the job site.Supply and properly use personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and gloves, at all times.Follow all site safety rules and procedures to protect yourself, your teammates, and others on the job site.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of experience as a rough or finish carpenter on commercial projects.Proven experience performing finish carpentry tasks such as trim work, hanging doors, and installing cabinets.Experience working on commercial job sites, including commercial and retail environments.Experience on multi-family, stick-built projects.Ability to travel to and work on job sites within approximately 20 minutes of the Milwaukee area.Ability to read and interpret construction plans and follow directions accurately.Proficiency with carpentry hand tools and power tools used for rough and finish work.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.Reliable transportation to reach various job sites.Ability to supply and consistently use personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliar in both rough and finish carpentry on commercial projects.Experience working on multi-family, stick-built structures.Comfort working in a team environment and learning from more experienced carpenters.Flexibility to perform a variety of carpentry tasks as needed to support project goals.Strong work ethic and willingness to grow skills and take on new challenges.Ability to adapt to different commercial and retail job site conditions.Why Work Here?You will join a strong, supportive team that values both craftsmanship and professional growth. The environment is team-oriented, with an emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and matching carpenters with roles that fit their strengths while offering opportunities to grow.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grafton, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
