PROGRAM MANAGER (AEROSPACE)

The Program Manager (Aerospace) will work closely with customers and internal personnel and will manage and resolve technical and contractual problems on specific new projects of moderate scope. Typically works with the support of a mentor and refers to policies, procedures, and practices for guidance.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Acts as primary customer contact.

  • Establishes customer rapport to facilitate company objectives and customer satisfaction.

  • Leads proposal development and negotiation for new business within established guidelines.

  • Coordinates gathering and technical analysis of customer requirements.

  • Provides general coordination, timelines, and objectives for Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, QA, and Support organizations.

  • Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring, and integrating project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.

  • Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines.

  • Transitions projects to production and to the Marketing administrator.

  • Performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.

  • Researches and identifies program forecasts, program and/or customer funding.

Education Skills, and Experience

  • EDUCATION requirement:bachelor's degree in engineering or degree in similar technical field.

  • Experience with military, defense, and/or government business client.

  • Project Management experience (PMP Certification is nice to have)

  • Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups within a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Attention to details and accuracy are position critical.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate a computer and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Overnight long-distance travel may be required, based on the individual needs of the position.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $104,400 to $174,150 annually

  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
