Physical Therapist - Out Patient Therapy

Position Purpose This position is accountable for providing quality Physical Therapy services under the supervision of the Therapy Supervisor, Manager, and ultimately the Director of Rehabilitation Therapies. The individual delivers comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in various therapy settings across the health system, including their families and caregivers. Services include comprehensive evaluation and treatment of gait and transfer limitations, orthotic/prosthetic training, and wound care. Nature and Scope The incumbent provides optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients of all ages in all therapy settings. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing plans of care, and providing rehabilitation services until discharge. The role also involves direct clinical supervision of physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians. Therapist services are interchangeable among similar facilities. For example, acute staff may float between inpatient hospital settings, while post‑acute staff may serve in various post‑acute facilities based on census and business needs. At times, the position may be asked to participate in program development and outcome measurements in the clinical setting. Per diem staff is required to work at least one major and one minor holiday each year. Major holidays are defined as Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Minor holidays are defined as New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. If an area is closed on major holidays, the requirement is to work at least one day the week of the holiday period. This position provides direct patient care. Minimum Qualifications Education Must have working‑level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Recent graduates who have applied for the registration examination may be considered for provisional appointment. Experience Applicants with experience in physical therapy, especially those who have experience with physical disabilities or possess specialty certifications, are preferred. License(s) Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Physical Therapy license. A provisional license is acceptable until the State of Nevada license is issued. Home Health – Valid State of Nevada or California driver’s license, ability to pass Renown Health’s Department of Motor Vehicles report criteria, and current automobile insurance for the department. Certification(s) BLS/CPR certification per AHA standards required. Computer / Typing Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job‑specific competencies, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
