Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days/Nights (7a–7p, 7p–7a) | Every Other Weekend Required | Blocked scheduling may be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed, 2-trauma-bay Emergency Department designated as Trauma Level IV, STEMI Receiving, and Stroke Center
• Manage ER holds intermixed within the general ED environment, including patients in dedicated psych/seclusion rooms
• Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Mindray telemetry equipment (no monitor techs on unit)
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow devices as required by RN scope
• Float to Med/Surg and Swing Bed unit as needed (same unit)
• Maintain required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Previous Med/Surg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year are not eligible
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at time of submission; additional RTO will not be approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in a low-volume, critical access or rural emergency department setting
• Comfort working independently in a department with on-call ancillary support and no dedicated RT or monitor techs
