Talascend is currently seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan .


Overview


This role involves performing assembly work and mechanical tasks in an automotive manufacturing environment, with a focus on cutting-edge vehicle technologies such as electric and autonomous vehicles.


Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and mechanical tasks following written procedures
• Utilize manual tools and power equipment safely
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Maintain organization and attention to detail in task execution
• Work overtime and weekends as needed for production demands

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US citizen
• Basic understanding of automotive systems
• Mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and comprehend written procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent attendance and willingness to work overtime/weekends when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience
• Experience with automotive electrical systems
• Basic set of mechanic tools

Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
