Solar Welder (3G & 4G Certified)

Welder Job Description

Mortenson is currently seeking a welder that will provide preparation, handling and supplying of materials. Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials
• Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blue prints and specifications
• Assist engineering with prints and documentation design
• Conducting daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions
• Basic problem solving techniques and troubleshooting; as related to welding component parts
• General cleanup and clearing of debris

Qualifications

• Welding Certification: 3G and 4G - Required
• Minimum 2 year of experience as a welder
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Possess basic understanding of construction hand tools
• Positive professional attitude
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Ability to adapt to change
• Punctual and dependable

**for CA, CO, WA, MN only** Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
