Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia recognition, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with a 24/7 house supervisor and available off-shift leadership to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response activities as required, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing
• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Ability to commit to every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a community hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
