Senior Microbiology Technician

Senior Microbiology Technician at Integra LifeSciences performs advanced microbiological testing, supports quality investigations, and mentors junior staff within a cGMP-regulated medical device environment. The role bridges technical execution and leadership functions while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced microbiological testing including bioburden, endotoxin, growth promotion, and environmental monitoring
• Lead or support out-of-specification investigations, non-conformances, and corrective/preventive actions
• Review and analyze microbiological data, identify trends, and generate reports for management
• Train and mentor junior technicians on testing methods, aseptic technique, and compliance requirements
• Support method validations, process improvements, and regulatory audit preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific field
• 4–7 years experience in cGMP-regulated medical device, pharmaceutical, or related industry
• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods and aseptic techniques
• Experience with environmental monitoring and cleanroom operations (ISO Class 7/8 preferred)
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 quality standards
• Experience with method validation and out-of-specification investigation processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and lab data systems

Compensation: $29.86 - $40.91 USD Hourly
