Our client, a leading academic and research institution specializing in dental education, is seeking a Dental Hygienist-Registered to join their dedicated clinical team. Job Title Dental Hygienist-Registered Location New York, NY Pay Range $45-47 Job Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, root planing, and scaling to promote optimal oral health. Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, performing intra-oral and extra-oral exams, and recording vital signs. Capture high-quality diagnostic X-rays, including digital and panoramic images, to assist in treatment planning. Support surgical and sedation procedures by monitoring patient recovery and providing specialized hygiene care for surgical patients. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care, especially for those recovering from oral surgery or periodontal procedures. Qualifications & Experience Current New York State license to practice Dental Hygiene (RDH). Active CPR/BLS certification. At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred; background in Oral Surgery or working with IV Sedation patients is a significant plus. Ability to work effectively within an academic setting with diverse patient populations and team members. Must pass mandated medical clearance and background checks.
