Mechanical Project Sales Executive - Energy Construction

THE ROLE:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a mechanically-inclined, customer-centric construction sales professional based in the Kansas City, MO area. In this role, you'll cultivate and manage client relationships with a focus on the Energy sector.

The position blends remote and on-site work, with an emphasis on specifying mechanical products for major Energy projects (power, chemical, oil & gas companies, and more). Your day-to-day activities may involve presenting to executive teams in boardrooms as well as working hands-on with Mechanical Engineers. You'll partner closely with internal support teams to ensure client requirements are met at every stage of the project.

A major component of this role includes developing and sustaining strong relationships with mechanical engineers and other owner-side stakeholders. The company actively supports client engagement through networking events, happy hours, professional meetups, sporting events, and similar activities. ~20% travel is required.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of client-facing experience in mechanical construction
• MUST have experience selling into the energy sector (EX: power, chemical, oil & gas, etc.)
• Experience working for an industrial manufacturer, MEP engineering firm, General Contractor, or other construction related firms
• Strong understanding of mechanical piping systems and/or commercial HVAC
• Genuine enthusiasm for client interaction and professional networking
• Must live in the Kansas City, MO area willing to travel ~20% overnight to visit customers, trainings, and events
• Bachelor's degree required
