9 Labor and Delivery Rooms (LDR)
3 Operating Rooms (OR)
4 Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) beds
4 Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) beds
2 Antepartum beds

Staffing

Total Staff: 38

Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4-6 Labor and Delivery RNs, 1 Transition Nurse, 1 OR Tech, 1 Unit Secretary
Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4-5 Labor and Delivery RNs, 1 Transition Nurse, 1 OR Tech

Patient Ratios

1:1 to 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratios.

Technology

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System: Meditech/CPN

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience

Preferred Skills:

Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
Bilingual in Spanish

Typical Procedures

Responsibilities include:

Management of laboring patients
Circulating Cesarean Sections (CS)

Personality Traits

Ideal candidates should be outgoing and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and providers.

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Floating Areas

May require floating to the Postpartum unit.

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Scheduling

Position requires 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule.
