This position involves local or long-distance hauling of equipment and supplies as well as loading, unloading, and securing the equipment.The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.Essential Functions:Delivery and pick up of equipment for customers in a safe and timely, efficient, and courteous mannerSecure construction equipment and other equipment, by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking under the strict accordance and established proceduresPerform pre- and post- vehicle inspection; Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition, before, during, and after delivery tripsReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehiclesPerform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairsComplete DOT required drivers daily log and trip sheets accurately and without misrepresentationPerform basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment at job site and make minor repairsDemonstration of proper and safe equipment usage to customer at the point of deliveryObtain required signatures on rental contracts, pick up, and exchange formsAssist other departments whenever required in an efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving proceduresKnowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelinesKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
